Olympic fly fishers help release coho fry.

Randle White May 19th, 2022

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, members of the Olympic Fly Fishers of Edmonds assisted Sound Salmon Solutions with the seining of coho salmon from the Willow Creek Hatchery in Edmonds. The coho were hatched and raised at the hatchery. They will now be placed in local streams, to grow and make their way out to Puget Sound. Hopefully in a few years they will be returning to the streams to spawn and continue the salmon population. Approximately 12,000 salmon were collected for distribution!

Thanks to members Ed Kellison, Dave Skaar, Penny Gold, George Selvy, Barry Hutton, Tracy and Dave Little, and Randal White for their help.
