Colville Reservation - Omak lake

Camping or hotel

Date(s): September 28 - Oct 3

Destination: Twin Lakes Colville Reservation (Sept. 28 - 30) & Omak Lake (Oct. 1 - 3)

Our plan is to start at Twin Lakes (Colville Reservation) where we'll set up camp amidst the serene beauty of nature. We'll have the opportunity to enjoy fishing in the picturesque lakes, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.  (Or hotel room)

Whether you're an experienced angler or just looking to unwind by the water, the fishing experience here is bound to be exceptional. Common catches include 2- to 8-pound triploids! Check out this YouTube video for a look at triploid fishing!

The Log Cabin Resort currently has reservations for cabins and campsites available. Some are right on the water! My understanding is you don't need a tribal boat launch permit to launch from here. However, you will need the tribal pass (their version of our Discover Pass) and a tribal fishing license. BUT IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO CONFIRM FOR YOURSELF!

After spending quality time at Twin Lakes, we'll head towards Omak Lake for the next leg of our adventure. Omak Lake is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and abundant Lahontan cutthroat population. We'll continue our fishing endeavors and revel in the tranquility of the surroundings.

Omak has a few campgrounds and two hotels, Omak Inn & Best Western. I’m also going to look into Mission End Campground on the north end of Omak Lake. More to come about that.

The itinerary includes cozy bonfires, delicious campfire meals, stargazing, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. We're aiming for a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Please let us know if you can make it. We understand schedules can be busy. But we sincerely hope you can make it to this exciting getaway.

Kindly RSVP so that we can finalize the logistics, plan a meal or two together, and ensure a fantastic experience for everyone.  Here’s the link: 230778471647063

P.S. – I’ve included some dated info from a few years ago below. Use it as a starting point if you want to know what to plan for. However, I strongly recommend you book your lodgings asap. Several of us are staying at the Log Cabin Resort for Twin Lakes and one of the many campgrounds, as well as the Omak Inn or the Best Western in Omak.

Here's to a fantastic fishing and camping (hoteling) trip!
